New domain spaces are in the process of being introduced. Over the past few weeks, the first “sunrise” periods have opened for new domain name spaces called generic top-level domains (gTLDs). ICANN has also delegated the first four of its new gTLDs by introducing them into the Internet’s Root Zone.
